Anyone fancy paying to fell a dozen leylandii, in exchange for the firewood and bacon sarnies?

I'm amazed that the bidding hasn't gone wild... Not.

if you could get them for say a tenner total, he helps with all work and all brash stays where it hits the ground then for domestic firewood its a nice lil top up.

couple years ago i bought twelve birch standing in a field to fell for logs. all brash stayed on site. got trailer alongside them once felled and was 5 mins from home. kept mother in logs for a month or three. i was chuffed at 30 quid.

so somebody will more than likely buy them i reckon.

I know some retired guy gets all his wood by doing jobs like that free.

Hes built up a big wood pile of at least 30 cubic metres timber stacked in his garden, mostly leylandi :001_smile:

Its pretty impressive.

Suppose hes stealing work from professioneals etc, but hes being doing it yrs so it must of saved him several £1000's if he had to buy all that wood.
