If people are still interested; current rumble is that both Treescape and Asplundh are looking for workers. I was told yesterday that Asplundh want 18 guys. Maybe take with a pinch of salt but I'd guess there's no smoke without fire.

well thats some tickets booked.

now whats the word on the street for places to cruise on the longboards in auckland? :)

If you're anywhere on the west coast, get clued up before you go out. The rips can be really bad and have claimed a lot of lives so understand what you're dealing with, talk to the locals and then have fun. Piha, Bethells, Muriwai and (out of town) Raglan, are the big surf spots in easy reach of Auckland.

no fear there, i really do not enjoy the taste of salt water, i'm talking skate boards. the Assplunderer roumours could be true enough, apparantly a big park and street tree contract. But at the moment not my first choice of companies to work for.

thanks for the heads up.

yo ging when you heading out? it is true about asplandph and the auckland contract been asked to go up myself as they are 15 guys short. Been trying to get work around queenstown with them but not much room. got a few trial days elsewhere though. A few mates have got work with treescape in auckand but as someone said they lost a big contract so maybe not looking anymore.

maybe cacth you sometime in auckand.

Check with Rich at Treetools. He seems to be a fountain of local knowledge.
