I kept them when I was a "kid" myself, lots of fun and really kept the rubbish down, jump a 5ft fence from standing. Got the nickname ever since. Havn't had goats for 12 years now.

There was a Billie called Oswald near us for a while ....He stunk !

I once took a nanny to see Rhastus the gentleman in my Ford escort van. The Romance lasted 10mins, job done. Van stank for around 2 months. Would've been fun to pick up hitch hikers.

Check out this pygmy kid for a laugh.

Anyone on here an experienced goatman or woman?

i got 11 pygmy goats.

They are funny little things. i do however have an 8 week old one that is under the weather, not sure he is going to pull through

anyone else got goats?

I've had goats in the past and we lost a couple of kids. As they get older they get more boisterous and one of the other goats got over playful and it got a whack on the side and caused it to get twisted gut and it died, this happened a couple if times, ive heard its quite common among goats.

yep it just died.

edit my count to 10.

i dont know if its Because they are pygmys But my Billy doesnt smell half as Bad as my old full size goat did.

They don't smell if they have been castrated and if you can keep them on clean bedding even better. Great pets, and great milk, really good for you especially if you have elegies .

Isn't it a sign when there tails start wagging or twitching a lot.

Yes and they are a bit sticky/damp in that area. It happens around every 21 days. The Billy checks it out and curls his top lip.

This thread is heading towards censorship.:001_rolleyes:

Sadly, its all coming back to me now, i used to keep them as a boy started of with one Anglow newbean ( god knows how that should be spelt and i think that was what they were called, with drupy ears) long story short, it came into season , me and my dad took it in the back of are car !!! to visit the billy in the next village, I'd never, never seen any thing like it, billy was twice as big and must of smell us coming, as we pulled into the farm yard billy broke out and was going nuts, we let the goat out and they were straight at it, never seen anything like it, when they finished, and it didn't take long, we took her back in the car, she was a very sticky :laugh1:
