I have had a felling licence in place for a large hedgerow were doing can I still fell after february I know farmers aren't allowed to cut hedges after february?

It's not illegal to cut during this period, but generally speaking, particularly with big impact works, you need to take extra care in doing a pre-commencement survey for nests etc. Obvioulsy if found, work stops...or rather doesn't commence.

Cheers..

Paul

PS The 'Bird Nesting Act' mentioned below is actually the 'Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981', just as an aside.

1st of march is end of season for doing any hedges unless it is a hazzard to roads or footpaths. but if still doing a hedge can carry on just need o look to see if they are nesting. they are pairing up and getting nesting material so not much time left to do it
