I reckon that big lump could of been done with that rope, or at least given it a chance to work .

A big open gob, minimum drop, no step in the back cut, level through.

Forget the dozen wraps around 3 trees, that was just done to use up rope and give the new lad a frustrating job lol

And be man enough to stay up the tree, I wreckon that was a big part of the problem, it needed a guy up there with no help other than his little arms to push from his glutes and toes to get that stick over and then absorb the wobble with the technique known as the ' wolverine death grip ' as you gaff out and drop half an inch but think you have just been pushed out the back of a chinook!!

So you claw your gloveless hands onto the top of that stem, always easier on dead elm as the jaggy barklesd burr digs into your fore arms for extra grip!!

The pain doesn't kick In until you try getting those forearms under the water in a hot bath!!

Ah good times :)
