have you got a local saw shop? If so, why not put up a card there with your details, everyone in the trade goes there. Also, is there a local pub where the arb fraternity hang out fr a beer, just introduce youself, you never know!!

ive been looking on all the above mentioed websites as well as the Forestry commission , national trust , utilty companies and sending CVs to all companies in the area. Why not have online cvs on here Steve...is that an idea or to much trouble? What do we all think. I have thought about it.

from previous posts it sounds like you cant be picky where you are, so ring up every single company in the distance youre willing to commute and accept any job offered, with any ammount of work-a day a weeks better than nowt

i wouldnt expect guys already in jobs/ arb work to post their Cvs on here just those of us unemployed looking for a way in to the trade.

You could try speculative CV mailing, if you get no answer on the phone.
