You can't swap then for the leathers as they have a different fitting.

I did this. just to inform that I needed strange washer bolt thingys too for the other side and had to then file them down a lot to stop them digging into my boots. and I had to drill the hole to a bigger diameter too, 7 or 7.5mm I think. glad I did it as it eliminates them coming loose and they fell a whole lot more secure than the velcro.

With the amount of pruning I do these days I might just superglue them to my Meindls....

Why change to leather straps, that's going back to the dark ages.

 

The Velcro ones are great! Easy to put on and really comfy, wearing slippers comfy!

To be fair mate I have got on really well with the Velcro bottom straps for years.

I've just torn them up badly somehow and thing leather may last better.

Leather buckles are either too tight or slack.

 

Remember trying to unclip them with freezing hands, I've never had spikes last this long let along the fixings.

The leg ones were ok to undo but the feet ones were twangy sore on your pointy finger trying to lift the metal pointy bit.

And that pointy finger usually has a silky cut or thorns in it! Or the knuckles constantly tender from slips with blunt file from slicing off the chain!

You've convinced me with the velcro bottoms, what with winter coming up. Wasn't aware that they came in different sizes though?
