what about using something that will break away, I.e a decent size zip tie between harness and strop, use this when concerns about saw being pulled. it can stay on there when in normal use.

Just an idea nice and cheap, just need to find right size zip tie.

Broke the nose of a bar on 26 when I first started, holding the saw the other way round trying to take a 30 degree ish top out an ash, the saw went bye bye.

When I first started i was taught to Un clip every time and you just held onto the saw, saw went, bounced off the rd,and I was still the owner of a set of hips and a spine!

It's part of learning how to do this job.

As Pete says, super sharp saw is key.

I am not a believer in the break away thing, If you are unsure, unclip and get in a good position.

Years ago my boss was away and I was called to fell a tree that had been set on fire, it had a good size limb on the back side, that had to be removed before I could even entertain the tree being winched over, I can't remember what cut i used, but what ever it was it was not the right one :) branch went and took the saw with it, it had a 24inch bar ................que one bar with a 90 degree bend,

I think i had been doing tree work for just over a year you live and learn, its all about feel, its never happened to me since, you live and learn............still learning :)
