Flytippers ..... again

Took dogs out for a run this morning down into my wood and then come back round past the m62 which is a few hundred yards from my house.

I stopped to photograph the m62 in the first picture, which was suprisingly moving despite snowing, normally it's gridlocked without snow. Dogs really enjoying their outing running off to the right of the photo, m62 on the left.

Many of you might recognise the hill in the background, it's called badger hill and stands out like a sore thumb on your left about a mile before the car auctions turnoff at brighouse coming from manchester.

Anyhow, second photo show dogs after they came back licking wounds, one had a badly gashed pad and the other has a deep cut on the lower inside of his leg which will need stitching, going to the vets this aft.

I retraced where we had been and found someone had flytipped a bathroon suite and smashed all the pot up so there were lethal sharp edges all over the place. It was hidden under the snow :mad1:

It really pee's me off, just what you need, a large vets bill when your quiet and can't do any work because of the weather.

Managed to super glue the wounds on the dogs.

If you clean the pad, hold the cut together and put a dab on it holds the cut together, I then put a tiny piece of thin cloth over the wound with superglue which holds the wound together whilst giving a hard pad for the dog to walk on, I've left a bit of the wound unsealed so it can weep if a little infected.

Graham, Father and son English Springer with exactly the same markings, but easy to tell apart as one has a longer tail than the other, so one tail wags really fast and the longer tail wags slow :001_smile:

Do you work them? I was well into springers...even had one to FT standard which for me was unknown:001_smile:

Hope they're ok.

They both work and have exceptional FT pedigree.

They are both ok wounds have glued up brilliant.

These two absolutely live for working, they get so frustrated out of season, if I get the gun out to clean they go bananas. One is very good at retrieves the other is good at flushing, does a very thorough job.

This year sometime, I'm training them to find drugs ( just got to get some old tab ends from somewhere) I'm training them to vet my two girls boyfriends as they are now at that age 15 and 18. Also if they have a party I can do a drugs sweep.

Wouldn't you just love me as a dad :001_smile:

Dogs say thanks everyone!
