Give the guy a break at least he did have the presence of mind to come on here and ask for advice before he paid for it ,so this forum has helped him, no harm done ,lesson learnt, why take the piss? just because he has not got experience.

Could have been worse he could have brought a Dolmar or Makita, now they are crap:001_rolleyes:

Oh no, someone else who knows jack about saws  yes I'm taking the bait. I might have sounded harsh but hopefully such might develop the skills insofar that for instance the OP might have been told husq are good pro saws so have a look online or get a catalogue ffs. There are plenty other husqs even on ebay to compare with. There is absolutely no evidence for a researched considered purchase here and yes I find this hard to understand. Guess that's how retail shifts so much crap onto the public. Clueless. All in good humour mind. Btw, no need to spread bs propoganda about saws u know fa about :sneaky2:

The OP may have been purchasing it for resale for profit or just thought it a bargain and had no idea how big a real 395 actually is:lol:- agreed it is a big saw for someones first saw - the seller was trying it on, he got found out and that is good for all.

Think it all ended well:thumbup:

£300!!!!

without asking first!!

sorry but if your not sure ask first, no point after the event. as someone else said good job he only got bid upto £75 and not the full £300.

We all make mistakes its easy done,

I for 1 would admit it and have a laugh about it.

I hope he gets his money back and can send saw back, that would be end of then.

What does the OP want a saw for? If he tells us his plans we could advise what to purchase, and from where, if he wants a saw for firewood/carving/felling/milling or what ever else you can use a saw for, if he is after money making, buy slightly damaged/in need of repair pro saws and fix em
