Recommend me a breathable hard hat for ground use?

I've no doubt the Protos is excellent, but if I can't have my tunes playing its a no go!

 

Any more ideas?

as in my post i have just put on find the petzl are not for groundwork only arial work. as i found out today if something falls on your head not covered. i want a breathable hat but for ground. just checked there site and only do one for ground and its not ventilated so like the old builders hat

The college let us use petzl helmets for felling and iv never stopped

i have a stihl helmet that have six small holes / vent and six others that you can poen or close its the only helmet i can use for more than 15minuts as all the other i tred give me a pounding headache

Look like both the Petzl and the bog standard Centurion hard hat are compliant to EN 397. The Petzl is also compliant to EN 12492- presumably a work at height compliance?

 

Either way I see no reason you can't wear Petzl on the ground.

 

So is that the best one to go for?

I think Silky Fox has to have climbers helmets and groundie helmets where he works. It may just be a company policy though.

He can confirm this and the reasons why.
