Hey guys, just wondering if anyone uses any of the granberg chain grinders? Basically looking to find out what people think of them, pros and cons etc. looking at getting one , looks a good bit of kit.

Waiting for delivery of mine to sort out all the 088 chains that have been mullered.

Only went for the small handheld one though.

I've got the precision grinder, use it for my milling chains as it gives a perfectly even sharpen to the whole chain.

Also very good for sorting chains that have been knackered for whatever reason (hit stones etc)

For a quick sharpen on a short chain I find it's slower than hand filing but on long chains it's a lot faster and you get a lovely even finish.

i have just got one but only tried it out once to work out how to set it up on the bar etc but cant really fault it yet. I only want it for recovering damaged chains othewise i use a file but its a matter of how much time & preferance you have too""

as i only do logs for my fire i,am not in a rush and get more satisfaction out of filing my chain but when its set up propper on your bar its easy to use etc there are some very good videos available somewhere of them in use
