The purists will burn me at the stake but my favourite is Penderyn made in Wales. Of the Scottish ones my preference is for the Speyside malts rather than the Islay malts (faaar to peaty for me).

Got a bottle of Ardmore for Christmas. Opened it tonight while watching the darts. Tastes like parrafin:thumbdown:. Back to the mcallans for me:thumbup1:

Ardmore is heavily peated, ones in supermarkets are young too and 46% from memory which takes getting used too. Try a wee splash of water.

 

Penderyn is good stuff too and lovely people
