Barefoot milling

Have a look at this guy milling with a Stihl 090 with no milling attachment and no PPE - barefoot milling.

 

I have deep respect for his technique!

I happened across this video recently and decided to have ago on a much smaller scale.

 

I failed

 

And I had boots on.

Take em off, barefoot is clearly the way to go

 

 

That man has some skills with the saw, I would offer him some ear protection but otherwise rock on.

Respect as you say.

His technique is interesting. Uses a very long bar for what he's cutting and stands well back sighting along the bar with shallow cuts until he establishes the line.

The bare feet made me cringe.

 

Not as much though as the Basque axe cutters in the Pyrenees who cut through 16 inch beech logs standing on it between their feet with bare feet.
