So if we were to 'upgrade' then should it be to a 35hp+...?

I run a 35hp petrol belt drive bandit 2150, never used a 2250. Though I have seen one working and it looked quite a good machine. 45hp diesel would have a very significant advantage over your HB20. Mine is a compromise as it is narrow access (29 inch) and remote control.

 

If I wanted a non narrow access machine it would have to be at least 45hp, diesel. Track or wheel and remote control.

I delivered a new 27hp 2250xp on friday to a customer who ran a 13hp pedestrian & a 28hp tracked grinder, he said the 2250 wasn't even on the same page as the other two grinders, there was no comparison.

 

You can still have 35hp petrol or diesel or 45hp belt drive or hydraulic drive, we have Two 45hp turbo belt drive machines left in stock that we will do a good deal on to shift if anyone is interested.

2 things about the 252 I dont like are that each wheel should have independant drive to steer and do away with the naff steering / jockey wheel and the controls should pivot out so the user has a better view of the cutter wheel.

 

I may well have mine converted and do away with the jockey wheel as this would make the machine a couple of feet shorter

Yes sorry, Ty has been giving me grief over my new shoes but they could be lucky shoes who knows? However would be happy to trade Rayco with a few details.

Hi, in my opinion if you are looking to scale up to a big machine, you are better off keeping your small grinder as well, if you can afford too. A big grinder is great be you will have times when you still need your small machine.
