always,never cover my own firewood it seasons faster left to elements burns spot on even softwood it just penetrates a little deeper,how many chimney fires have i had may you ask? not blinking one.All this covered dried barn stored kiln dried fancy smancy wood is a load of cods wallop and ill stand by this statement haha

The stuff I sell to customers is a different story lol slightest hint of damp on the logs and it sends there alarm bells ringing.

My own logs however will remain black,nasty looking discoloured and left outside uncovered forever more.No point in pointless faffing

Well I don't sell much , mostly its just for me but I am forced to tack in the open air and only store in my wood shed thing when I have split it . All seems to burn fine on my Burley any ways .
