Ewan I have got to ask how do you no all this information? Your really no your beans when it comes to ropes.

 

Just curious mate, i ask alot of questions, plus before i buy something i tend to research as much as i can about it so i can really make up my mind, also i find it helps me pick out the right choice for the right job, knowing your rope types and constructions can come in handy when making homemade stuff.

I really like the stuff on my third now, prefere it to tachyon and don't find the bounce to bad, mind you I would prefere the tachyon for SRT but as my every day work rope fly is always first out.

I tape down the splice though so it fits through the rope guide easily and mines definitely not as tidy in the pic.

It's possible to make the kernmantle splice nice and neat, I have seen Drews kernmantle splicing and it's very tidy.

 

I did two old fly splices, pictures, and used it SRT for a while, I didn't find it all that bouncy.
