Hi all, am in the market for a very long/quality pole saw(not a combi system etc). Was at the Arb fair and saw a very long saw-if memory serves me well is was something in the 21 ft region was yellow and possibly a Silky. Any ideas ? it was possibly a "tallboy" or hayate, suggestions/ideas and quality dealer eqs welcome, regards...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.

whichever one you get will break pretty soon, no matter how much you spend. We had a couple of the yellow silky ones which were great but one little oops moment and they are rendered useless. The most simple and robust ones we use now are the wolfgarten ones, the saw is no way near as good as the silky but they are cheap, effective and there is a plethora of attachments!

If you want ones that last your probably best of getting the alloy or fiberglass push fit poles.you can still get silky cutting heads for them!

Fibre glass marvins  where can you get silky attachments? Apparently same fitment as stein.

we do alot of utility work and therefore have to use insulated pole saws , they are supplied by a company called Aus ltd - even if i was not working round powerlines i would highly recomend them , they are alot more robust than the silky pole systems and with 10 or 12 1.2m poles you can reach a long way !!
