Small timer. Jr log arch v compact tractor

Recommended Posts

Compact tractors need 4wd in this sort of work because they are so light. Even then the may require extra ballast.

However the full size nuffield type beast would be good if you dont have far to travel. More power and weight for £s but need more room and make more mess, but quicker. The old Thawites type dumper is not very good rough terrain wet weather machine, in summer however would be good for carting cut logs around.

Looking at the number plate, I believe this one was first registered in Yeovil.

I hadn't thought about a dumper.

Love the look of the tractor and home made skidder.

Didn't think you could get a cheap tractor 1k. Seems too good to be true.

Thought the smaller the tractor the smaller the price tag!

Obviously I was wrong.

Is eBay the best place to look for sub 2k tractors. Compact or not.

Googled second hand tractors and get everything but what I am looking for.

Confused dot com

Thank god for arbtalk and its helpful members!

JJ Cook have website and an ebay shop - they are based in Leicestershire if I recall correctly and have a good range of Jap mini tractors at about £5k fully recon'd and going down in price from there - haven't used them personally yet - just done the research.
