Fistulina might be a waste of time,   It's slowly pathogenic ( although on trees with high tannin content) and I not sure, but I don't think it's commitment may found on willow.

Indeed ABTREES it's a whole "World of Stuff n Things" on here ;) an Gary, I will trial three of the fungi on each tree an as it's an 8 yr program of works we can see how it turns out- my money is on Amillaria but will put some laetiporous in too, k

Perhaps better with Laetiporus than Fistulina,

 

Armillaria definitely good

Here's a couple of new ones I found today.  I've no doubt they're all pretty common - at least round here !  On the yellow jelly one both the top and bottom jelly seem to have a black growth on the other side of the tree - is this just another part of the same fungi or a different one all together ?
