I cannot have you london boys beating us country boys on fungi so here is your slime mould i found it today on an oak stump. The second one i found by its smell it stunk and it was huge but i have no idea what it is:001_smile:

 

I've never seen anything like that second one before! Cool:thumbup:

Hi, I was hoping to get some help with this. Found on a conifer stump, smelt faintly of fennel/aniseed, could have been strong, but my smell is rubbish. I think it is Gloeophyllum odoratum. If it likely is, should I report the find? Cheers!

 

Looks like a young Dyers Mazegill - Phaeolus schweinitzii IMO

as matt said Phaeolus, the smell is terpinoids
