  1. Thanks chaps. Cracking looking fungi. Like I said, my sense of smell is useless!
  2. Hi, I was hoping to get some help with this. Found on a conifer stump, smelt faintly of fennel/aniseed, could have been strong, but my smell is rubbish. I think it is Gloeophyllum odoratum. If it likely is, should I report the find? Cheers!
  3. This is typical up here. We have even better diversity and some quite rare Lichen by all accounts. They are on my list, but not something I know much about yet. It was the flatness that made me question it being Laetiporus, so cheers for clearing that up.
  4. I know there are lots of Laetiporus sulphureus in this thread, but this is a first for me, if I've got it right, it looks right to me. I couldn't get very close as it was on a cliff edge and the midge were viscous. That is my lens at full zoom.
  5. Thanks! My inclination is myc, I will pop back up the hill and check. No other stumps in the near vicinity that I noticed.
  6. Pseudohydnum gelatinosum. Likely Spruce stump. Do you think that is spore distribution or mycelium? I should have investigated, but was pushed for time.
  7. Couple of weeks ago, under Larch. Suillus grevillei??
