Need to organise another weekend expedition

 

The lime I took Dan to see in the afternoon, should be a good one, possibly 110ft or there abouts.

 

The swamp cypress at the same site as the turkey oak! Looks an impressive tree for the given species in this area.

Not sure joe, was going to organise it so everyone could get here really there are loads to do on one sight, are you up for it mate?

Yea I'm up for it! I just need notice so I can organise hitchin a lift with some others from down this way.

In the mean time I've just been to see this oak, the owner is going to get back to me on climbing it so we will see, fingers crossed as its huge.

This one was just normal, I did do a quick clinometer reading but was not accurate on the distance from the tree but somewhere in the region of 27/32m in height and possibly 35m spread???

The oak certainly looks the part! As I said to you Adam, judging by the 120ft lime, yours has to be 100ft+
