Nice. A guy I did some training with a few years ago worked in Spain. He used doubled up, double length gaffs to get up palms, so two spikes per foot. I think he also used a machete to prune dead fronds:001_smile:

We use normal spike for some palms and bicycle for other. Also with a machete like tool.

Does anybody own or use a singing rock timber || harness ? Looking for views on it as I have been looking at it for a while and I don't have the luxury of trying before I buy out here. If anyone has any other suggestions please bear in mind I am on a very tight budget.

Today's job !! A tree that was deemed to be dangerous but the council refused permission to take down, it ended up snapping and performing a miracle by placing itself between two houses. The only damage was broken plant pots and a broken piece of glass on the balcony. . All the rubbish was taken to the tip and all the logs stayed on site. Jobs a good'n !!

Yesterday's job. ! A couple of palm trees pruned some almond trees to come down (lovely wood) A bay tree reduction and some olives pruned.

 

 

And a palm destroyed by the red nose beetle to be reduced to a stump and left to rot.

 

All the rubbish was left on site .

 

 

And a cheeky lunge in the sun.
