Anyone got any larch

Hey all.

Im after enough seasoned larch to make 3 yurt doors and door frames. Customer wants them done out of larch coz hes heard it should be cheap and is good in the weather. Tried to explain that its only cheap if its locally available but hey ho. If no larch please let me know of alternatives you have in stock. Havent worked out cutting list yet but will post as soon as i do. Guess its about 5ft3.

Thanks for the reply Blaise, Unfortunately i found a regular supply of seasoned larch from a larch woodland about 15miles from me(wendover). Having said that your butt looks quite nice and you should decide on a use for it, its great for any outside project like benches, fences, garden buildings etc, so decide on a use for it and have some fun. Imo its a very underrated wood with a beautiful hue and grain, which should be used more regularly. Thanks again and happy milling.

I'm still confused about the 1 to 1 1/2 inch spec?

We have a load of seasoned air dried ash in 1' 1" and a half that we supply to yurt workers if that's of interest

Spec means i need lumber between 1 inch and 1.5 inch thick.

supplier is chiltern green timber co. A guy called steve who has an oak and larch woodland and a lucas mill. Nice chap. suprised hes not on here, might mention it to him.
