Spud is spot on as usual.

All 141 saws as well as 136,137 etc had this design.

 

The little green pipe shown on my picture fits into a drilling in the cylinder face beside the inlet manifold tube.

The white plastic plate that forms the base of the air box has a male tube moulded into it which inserts into the end of the green tube.

They regularly perish and split as in the pics, so its always the very first thing I check on these saws.

All this talk of male and female parts, insertion and the like - not sure what you get up to in that workshop of yours Barrie - it is the lubricatinng grease I am most concerned about:blushing::lol::lol:

Hahaha, as it happens, about 20 yrs ago i bought a 12.5kg bucket of petroleum jelly.Its a great assembly aid.

 

Still got about 80% left though. If I depart this world suddenly the loved ones who sort out my workshop will be saying WTF!!

Oh dear, the secret is out, I rest my case......don't know where Rich is, must be out polishing his boat - sure he will pick up where I leave off:thumbup::lol:

Hello. Yes Been a busy week for me. Doing cs training.

 

I was polishing up the brass on boat tonight. 'twas a bit cold........ Let someone else finish that one.

 

I didn't know you would need that much just for spud there Barrie.......... Just between us I have heard all sorts about spud.....:lol:

 

I always get a funny look when I get the jelly out for battery terminals :lol:

Oh. :blushing:. Thought it was funny going to Ann summers and getting a dirty look from the girl at the till when I said its to stop my terminals from corroding.....:blushing:

I just get the piss taken out of the rubber gloves I wear to work on those dirty greasy things:001_rolleyes::lol:

Purple Nitrile disposables all day long here Steve, or the hands never get clean.
