Haha I know, it's funny really when you get to climb or even see a living breathing giant like that how small things you thought to be big really are not:thumbup1:

The Turkey oak we visited, Adam has the full measurements, but I know that the stem from one face at it's slimmest point was around 7'! The dbh wasn't massive as it was pretty much rectangular and around 4' from the opposite face.

Ok now for the question mark? Lol could this be a champion not only could it be of uk but possibly the world?...

 

We think, this maybe the biggest living privet well certainly the biggest I've ever seen, still not 100% sure so can't claim nothing yet, open to suggestions though, 14m approx will go back to measure once or if we can positively ID

Couple more of the chestnut. Most of the props are fairly irrelevant now. Only one seems to be bearing any weight, the others probably aren't even capable of it anyway
