It holds a lot more than you would think. It's 9x5 and 5ft tall. I don't ever need to tip off mid-day, I just take home a load of chip at the end of the day.

 

In the dark, when Plod's gone to bed, presumably? :lol:

I have an Ash about 5 foot diameter on the to do list that I will get a pic of when I get round to doing it. The tops already been taken down by a tree surgeon but I'm felling the bottom half. Still a lot of wood (logs) in it!

I work around rural areas most of the time! The good thing about the truck is, it always looks level, even when full. Plus we process out all the firewood down to about 2 or 3 inches, so even a big takedown doesn't generate masses of chip. I'd rather go back the next day, or a saturday morning to collect all the branchy firewood lengths.

 

Big leylandii's are another thing.

There are a few left up here,this is the only redwood i've ever felled though,10 footer,it had to come down for a development,i didn't plan on felling it that day but the 50mph+ wind behind it convinced me.
