I know it's not as pretty but if you need to make a temporary replacement priest quickly get a small length blue/black water pipe then cut the brasses off of 4 live 12 gauge shotgun cartridges the other end of the cartridge can then be pushed into the water pipe it's a tight fit so they don't fly out when your dispatching game.

Give Robin Fawcett a call

Green Woodworking with the Treewright

He turns priests on the pole lathe and weights the end, very nice.

Just found this on his blog

"Tomorrow we're going to be preparing for a weekend at Blake Hall Game & Country Show near Epping/Ongar, Essex so I've been finishing some priest's, made of Ash and loaded with a lead plug"

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
