joe harris originally invented this, used the plug recoil out of a vacuum cleaner. obviously he mustn't have marketed it. looks neat though. gives you the option of a huge lanyard. i reckon it might be good. considering the amount of times your lanyard gets caught on stubs at the worst times

Beat me to it. :thumbup1: in his spiderjackery video. Personally ill stick with my ditty bag as i can stuff loads in there and it rarely gets caught.

Except what Paul has done is start from scratch and made something that will put up with the rigours of what we do. Here's a good thread on The Treehouse about it and I've put my name down for the first one when they come out in a few months.

SO much better than having the lanyard trailing around and wrapping round legs and saw.

Darn, I came up with this idea a couple of years ago, had words with Nigel off here but it was never taken forward. Even called it the sidewinder haha! Always thought it was a good idea, it's great having a long lanyard but it doesn't half get on your nerves getting tangled in a messy bushy tree!
