I thought it was too, but was afraid to throw it in at the start, incase I was wrong!!

 

But what got me was that in my ident book the buds it identifies the buds as coppery, as are the photos, but of course the branch I took they were green?

 

As they say, you can't learn it all from a book. But it was the beech like buds that made me think it was Amelancier lamarckii, but I was so uncertain as ident is not my strongest hand.
