:confused1: What medical information?? I've not heard it and I can't find it on the web.

This medical information?

She's sleeping at the moment and has had an uneventful night, and sleep is good for her, as we speak. She's been given some fluids to re-hydrate her because she was quite dehydrated when she came in. But she's stable at the moment.

I don't read the Daily Mail and I don't do knee-jerk reactions, but what the DJs did was pretty low. They set out to deceive and broadcast a health record to a large audience for the purposes of 'comedy'.

Shoddy.

Prank phone calls and "shock jocks" have been a staple of radio listeners lives for many years here stateside. Some are funny, others are not. IMHO this prank was only done for one thing, RATINGS!. When the rest of the media got wind of this prank gone wrong they could smell and taste the blood in the water and wasted no time creating a story based on celebrity. In today's society it is a shame that the media chooses to get it jollies by no longer reporting the news but creating it to fit a particular narrative.

I don't know the state of mind of the nurse that took this prank call. Not my place to judge what she did or how she died. There are consequences for all of our actions in life. Some folks are really selfish and are prone to push the envelope all the time to help deal with any number of things going on. I hope the family of the nurse who died will be able to cope and better understand in time what has happened.

According to the law, yes. (DPA 1998)

Information relating to a patient's health, conveyed by (inter alia) the telephone.

And regardless of the law, it was information relating to the medical condition of someone. It's just not on to obtain that by deception and broadcast it on the radio. Do you disagree with that point?

But we all knew this information from the news, there is no private or personal information that was not common knowledge.
