If the tree threw a shadow over the garden but the lower limbs provided a screen then all the boxes have been ticked.

I know a chap with a cat that was hit by a car it now has only 3 legs, it looks as daft as a brush hopping along but the chap still loves it and it catches the odd rat so still contributes. The cats happy his owners happy and the vet got paid :thumbup1:

If asked to do this and retaining the height was'nt an option I would have been happier to top it than remove it all together.

If the spec was a reduction and thin with a canopy raise then thats a different story :laugh1:

yes I would or educate them into proper thinking and show examples of your work. I consider myself a professional and have walked away from work in the past and would do so in the future.

God help us from "Educating tree surgeons"

As someone said this one will disappear into the ether soon.

Being new to the site , have I missed some thing , why would this be deleted ????

There is a rule about naming and shaming work. Although no name or shame has been made this thread could start an argument that the mods will have to intervene and delete the thread.

If it stays clean and if the person or people who have done the work are on arbtalk they can make a complaint to have the thread removed.

IMO so far there has been no reason to delete the thread. But watch this space I suppose.
