Well Dan Curtis and myself did some drop tests on the RW/LJ setup.

 

Thanks to Adam Bourne off here for supplying the Lockjack.

 

No damage to either that would stop them from being used again.

Nice one lads great stuff, really though something would of give especially on the drop test! You always here people saying "yeah you'll take one fall on a lockjack and it will cut the rope in half" ??? There you go sound as a pound, :thumbup1:

 

And it was my pleasure for the donation it has done and served its last ever deed! And to a good cause :thumbup:

Interesting findings then ian, i wonder how the spiderjack would react different? Good to see these tests though especially regarding cam damage to the ropes

 

from these tests id say the only thing that the SJ wound be risky on is a tether sever but from what ive seen the RW acts as a decelerator allowing the lj to bite.
