Thats most certainly not correct. The lockjack doesnt perform as normal when you're above it but it certainly doesnt prevent you from moving. You sometimes just needs to manually pull some slack through

Yeah that's right. When above the LJ i just pull slack out of the top of it. The angle ensures that it locks off anyway.

Absolutely no sitback on the zig zag, whatsoever

 

Just watched the video but it kinda look like there is a very very small amount which to me would say otherwise. But it's not really worth quibbling about. Look at 50secs on this video for it to fully engaged it need to extend

I wouldn't. The LJ is midline attachable.

Even pending on what type of friction hitch you use and how high (cough) you are above your anchor point it's possible it won't lock out until you've aided it in some way.

Is that a function you can rate as I'm sure it's attached to your line right now as we speak.

 

Anyway I don't know the last time I mid tied a my main line friction hitch apart from a second system but that is usually a Prussik, so I don't think that's a problem.

So you seen it, cool beans ill wait till next year, next step is ZK-2 I'm afraid.

I did out the zk1 above it for a little go. Worked great but would be one major problem if the wrench inverted and contacted the zig zag. Free fall if some thing heavy were to co tact it.
