I took these in the summer there was over 20 on this pile but i was only able to get a few shots ,there was another heap about 20ft away with adders on it but they were too quick for me with the iphone.

 

That's interesting. From what I understand, adders and grass snakes tend to prefer different habitats (grass snakes like it wet, adders like it dry) so it's relatively uncommon to find them in the same place.
