Any reviews of this?

Cost a tenner more than the similar Petzl Vertex Vent MSA Sordin & seem to weight more for some reason.

EDIT Just realized is alevo not a vertex so thats why maybe

Only for work at height - Not approved for forestry work on the ground!

Why not ground & climb?

I think it's because of the chinstrap configuration. The chinstrap in a climbing hat is designed to stay secure and keep your helmet on your head. In a forestry hat this is not the case. Tbh on the ground I just leave the chinstrap undone most of the time.

same story.. one helmet does all.. i dont like balence helmets.

Hi sorry old thread, I am starting to get my basic PPE at the moment. Regarding helmets I am just starting off so i know I'm not getting off the ground any time soon. Having said that i have been advised to just go straight for a climbing helmet due to the fact that there is only one ground helmet with chinstraps (which i have been told save a a lot of messing around by keeping it on your head. If all goes to plan, one day i am going to need to buy another helmet anyway. Im of the view buy good buy once.

Thoughts, opinions please?

Only on a duck. it may be to do with the peak though

Could you just get a cheap ground helmet from ebay and then invest in a climbing helmet when you need to upgrade. This one has a chinstrap and £12.95 isn't going to break the bank.

Ducks have a bill not a beak :001_tt2: as in

There's a man at the door with a bill......

Are you sure it's not a big duck with a hat on
