Thanks for that Old Mill Tree Care. That was what I thought but just I'd check with you more experienced people. Looks like I'm going to be spending some money.

I had a really good go on mine today on a big pop takedown which was very enjoyable and work nicely however I found that the hitch was getting very hot at times on decent and although I havnt checked it yet I think that I've eaten through my hitch cord (beeline) I'm using the recomended h/h hitch with 6 wraps on cougar blue any ideas anyone?

Try another wrap on the hitch maybe?

I haven't used cougar blue so I don't know how that combo works out.

Sadly not Gerbutt. I don't climb every day as my work covers a lot of general garden work as well as tree work. And with this weather I'm mad busy. So the best so far has been a hang in the house.

I had a look at beeline hitch cord yesterday after suspicions that it had badly glazed after a big climb the other day and it was so switched over to some hrc today which seemed to be much better, it did not bind up at all and didn't get hot good cord for anyone on cougar
