Found the curved blade a pain after using a straight one for years, kept on getting the tip snagged up as it wasn't where I was used to it being.

 

Natanoko for me for the last 5 yrs, though it can be a bit too chunky at times

both very true, thats why a gom is the best, cheaper, more handy and i got 3, each one has its place:thumbup:

 

one on ebay for £37 at the mo....

Lucky you!:thumbup1: it is indeed like having an arm powered chainsaw...and if you can get it sharpened for a tenner i would suggest finding out what file...i think it may be triangular...they are expensive but just imagine being able to tickle up a Natanoko everytime you use it.....

EEER did say a tenner? I meant £15, send them to me! :lol::001_tt2: Its an engineering company who has made some type of jig for them, i think they are done mechanically, I have tried sharpening them with the triangular file that is supposed to be for them but without good results.

I will ask the bloke if its ok if let you all know his details and whether he would be willing to maybe offer a postal service then you could give him a try. Only one bad thing about silky's -- the price :001_smile: maybe two then ---cutting yourself
