im enquiring about becoming a lantra award approved instuctor. Obviously there is a few hoops to jump through first one of which is having a teaching / instructional qualification and that would be preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector (PTLLS)

what are other people experience like in taking the PTLLS course what would i expect and the micro teaching scenario.

ive found an onling course but obviously you still have to do a small practical session.

many thanks value your unput

I started mine last month, so far so good. Nothing difficult, and i am enjoying the micro teaching, but i still have another 35 weeks to go.

Just found out that i have my technical standards course next month, so hopefully be Lantra approved by Crimbo.

Great thread English Arb,

I have over 20 years experience as a Trainer/Instructor in the public sector and fitness industry in different skills and also through hobbies. Alas most of the courses were carried out as in house training or job specific, so I don't really have widely recognised papers to carry over into different sectors.

I have heard of PTTLS, this was moons and i believe was the qual needed to teach English abroad. Like English Arb I would also like to know as much as possible about gaining this qual as I enjoying learning, adding strings to my bow and you never know perhaps one day I may wish to impart knowledge of the Saws at a later date.

I would be grateful for a info please guys!

Thanks

CTL

Did mine a 3 years ago - ish. It was one day a week for 4-8 weeks. Easy enough, just a few assignments to write and the main lessons at the end.

No real stress just need to apply yourself.
