in 95 we doing the pops @ brigghouse next to river/canal caravan park armitage the guy we worked for got an ex fire brigade lift in near gale force winds & rain we were waiting for the tree to come back to get the top cut in them waite to do bottom cut then back cut good job there was only 25 trees to do happy days wasnt to just taking 60 ft off @ time think twice now having 2.5 off spring

 

I have just taken two of those trees down and priced for re-doing those exact trees Woodpicker :wink:

 

Working round the traffic is a major problem there now :sad:

Yeah, just looked at some absolute carnage on the Helford passage where 120 trees came down over the weekend. 2 weeks of work clearing 12 large Cupressus macrocarpas and thats just one property. Shame to see root plates sticking up like that but also can't wait to start on those dodgy hung up ones:scared1:. Post some pics next week, if I have time!

had some lovely 70mph gales up here at the weekend had a reg client phone us saying that a very large beech had come down that we condemned not so long ago with a very large retaining wall behind it. luckely its untouched. also had two large limbs snapped out of cedar and just scraped his motor lucky once again. any one else have strong winds at the weekend never seen any weather reports?

It was blowing like a porn star down here at the weekend, think it was worse on the south coast though.

 

nice alike the wind ching ching we got loads of storm damage up here thankfully no call outs didnt fancy getting out my lovely warm scratcher we also got a load of snow dumped on us monday lovely and cold for the start of the week joyis
