First climbing kit

Excuse my ignorance but how do you have to set up the HH to use it DRT? I only saw it in SRT setups so far. I wish SRT was allowed in Germany as it seems to be the future of treeclimbing. Maybe they'll get the stuff certified one day, like the Hitch Hiker and Rope Wrench.

cheers, Philipp :)

Definelty stay with the hitch climber bro. It's more than just a pulley for tending a hitch, let's you set up o rigs , m rigs, 2nd attachment for lanyard, extra prussic for lifts etc and more. The large pulley in it makes the rope feed Into it from odd angles really well. I reckon the HC is one of the best pulleys ever made.

how about swapping the ART cabmium saver for a rope wrench and try out SRT ( no need for a cambium saver then) i find its a great system.

also the lock jack is good pricey too but for me it takes away all the hassles of the hitch!!

tachyon is a nice light rope to use too.

Heard the same thing over and over with the pully saver about retrieve ability and how the rope guide is a lot easier especially on the bigger trees but hey I'm sure there will be a lot of people that disagree , I use the rope guide personally , where on Germany are you bro ?

SECOND THAT! i'd stay clear of the PS i meet sooo many people that have bought both and the PS does not compare, one of main reasons being it doesn't 'slack off' when retreiving like the RG does

Stick with you Ddrt until you are a proficient climber before practicing anr SRWP

high melt point cords arn't nessisary either but some like them, Liros is a really nice cord to use and it's really hard wearing considerinf it doesn't have a high MP, if you do want a high MP though the bail out is the best one to get IMO.

A pantin is a must though it's best to use one as soon as you are proficient in the basic techniqes as you start learning good habits klippijg your heel on for medium & even some short asscents instead of ruining your back & arms all of the time
