is there that much difference between the ms341 and 260?

sure we could talk bout file sizes and chain pitchs all year. but has any1 used both saws and which i stood out above the other. cause if theres nothin 2 write home about im gettin a 26. lol

yes ive used both saws and they are really incomparable. the 341 is a far better saw but obviously costs more. if you are using it for small felling, snedding and general small scale work the 260 is perfectly adequate. if you want a bit more performance go for the 341 with .325 pitch chain

260-good small bar saw, used them with 15inch bars for coppice work years back, nothing special about them really

 

341-brilliant saw for ground work, this is the smallest saw we have at work-mines got an 18inch bar on, the other has 20inch-a bit to big for balance tbh

 

if it was me, needing a saw for small felling, snedding for the chipper, chogging down ect id go for the 341 and 18inch bar without a doubt

i agree, having used both saws and owning a 341, it is a much better power to weight ratio, and a 341 is only a little more expensive. definetley a worthwhile investment.

Anyone tried the 280i? my dealler was realy trying hard to sel me one the other day, any good? I think it has a Husqvarna XP type air intake.

sorry mate thought u were talkin bout a huski. 280-i looks a nice saw. the only thing i dont like is the bushs looks like they would rip with abuse. had a 250 which did just that. depends what ur usin it for.
