The arboriculturalist's companion, N.D.G. James.

Good little book that covers a little about a lot and is recagnised by the RFS as a referal point or at least it was when i did my cert.

Stupsi explains the tree, Claus Mattheck.

Dont be put off by what it looks like its a important book.

For any of your books get in contact with Jo at treesource and she will tell you what is what and prob give you the best price if you want a few.

Trees Their use management cultivation and biology by Bob Watson is an excellent book, well worth the money, up to date and covers most of what you need to know. :thumbup1: I would say it`s probably a more up to date book than the arboriculturalists companion.

Stupsi is certainly a book everyone should read as is Lonsdale.

'Manual of Wood Decay in Trees' see Manual of Wood Decays in Trees (20% discount, i.e. £16 not £20 til end Wed.)

This is not an AA sales plug, it's a genuine recommendation as it was only when reading this book I really started to understand the different decay types and processes, plus other good tsuff too.

Good luck with the course.
