Rob just saw the video posted. Great footage. Just think if it had been a cat 4 or 5.

It will take many years and billions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ,$$$$$$$$$$$

of dollars to rebuild and recover. Maybe the utility companies will finally wise up and bury the lines like some other parts of the country?. I can only hope, but not get my hopes to high.

All good fellas. Gonna take weeks to get it all cleaned up. Big hangers over front doors, kids playing in fallen trees, pretty mental. The water was the worst bit! My basement apartment had water upto the ceiling, so that's a gonner! Some parts like far rockaway complete washed away. 10 people died. Sewage coming up thru basement toilets! Mental!

You take care, and I believe your going to busy for the balance of the year+.

Don't drink the water:sneaky2:

I just bee talking to people about we're I used to live, long beach, is destroyed! Boardwalk gone, no power, sewers screwed, people looting houses, my stuff is still Down there, most of my clothes, bed, futon, bike. I put my valuable basses upstairs with the landlord. He nearly lost the house he says! It is really bad. I stayed at my bosses since Monday, his basement flooded 7 feet, ten he pumped it out, then last night the sewer backed up thru the loo with raw sewage! So now I am bunked down with robs sis in law! Crazy. Homeless. But I feel like I've not lost much. We now have well paid work coming out of every orrifice! So i will make the most of things.

The work is just mental. Some easy, bucket of few cuts, branch off power line. One today big oak down resting on the lines. Got an anchor in an adjacent oak, horizontal trees are easy, but soooo much tension on the wires, made one small cut and a bit of wood catapulted onto my cheek, very lucky, I jumped out of the tree! Was like a punch from Tyson. Black eye now, all good. Storm work.

Back to it mañana, not even started privates, but tree is a sh1t load of it. Everywhere.
