Finally finished the cedar I started last week, managed to get some extra climbers today. Will go back and fell the trunk in the week, I've got to put a load of bales down to protect the lawn!

Three pops to do today, all 90' or so. Topped and dropped the first, rigged down the weighted side then felled, the last one wasn't safe to climb so winched that over as well, back tomorrow to chip and ring that one. Good day.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1389632892.011395.jpg.6f809a74ce23c7402275733f8a917a26.jpg

Triple stemmed Ash take down today. The union of two stems had a massive compression fork and unfortunately the only place I could rig and anchor into was one of these stems.

Tied the weak stems together and fed my lowering rope through a pulley on both stems so that it pulled the fork together when knocking lumps out.

Job went well until I mullered the brand new chain on the 372 hitting some metal :(
