Squirrel Trapping

Recommended Posts

Absolute nonsense a squirrel would eat peanut butter from a human hand if you kept still long enough! I've caught 10s of thousands of squirrels in brand new traps un buried and un washed

if you've caught 10s of thousands in brand new traps you must have a lot of traps

nothings going in a brand new out the box trap till it's weathered apart from mice

I have had and still have alot of traps! I've been catching squirrels for the past 30 years and always caught in my new traps! I've never buried, boiled, or worn gloves! Since march 1st this year I've caught well over 3000 running 200 fens. I think if you actually went out and did some trapping you would know that your last post is utter rubbish!!

Eagle eye you are right, I find they are more suspicious of scents, so the gloves seem to work and improve the hit rate, it's a great idea to bury them I haven't tried that, I leave behind shed until a dull grey. Had better be a bit careful as i could be like a dog with a lost bone!

Been using my Corvid trap. I sow patches of wild bird seed and find this time if year the squirrels leave the wood to raid the hedgerows and forage the crop. Put the trap out with rabbit food in and you get them every time. Nine this week! The smaller birds just perch on the sticks but the squirrel jumps in and you got him.
