Thoughts are with the family of a man who's aircraft crashed into the channel earlier today. The wreckage has been located but the pilot has not.

It looks like you are only doing 4-5 knots how come or have I read it wrong?Thought you would be maxed out on a shout.

I'm not on the boat, didn't get out this time, she is towing a casualty vessel in. So going slow.

From this mornings little run out. An ashes spreading job. The RNLI does do ashes and doesn't charge. All we ask is for a donation to be made by the people.

Visited Brixham yesterday and wondered why they have two of the large boats?

That is PURE lifeboat porn that is.........

 

They only have one boat, they are both seven class lifeboats. On is the stations, the other is on what's called passage. This is when a lifeboat is taken to or from Poole, either on an exchange for another that needs to go in for repairs or there refit.

 

Brixham is also Torbay, I do believe there lifeboat is going in for refit, so the other one is taking over duties. Same crews different boat.

 

A small note. If anyone goes near a lifeboat station and they want to know anything or to even just look round the boat, then go and see the station and just ask if anyone is there. They will be more than happy to show you around and answer any questions, and believe me we have heard them all....
