Mate for some reason im having restless nights maybe its my mind and body getting me ready for sleepless nights

Next rec climb that comes up can you guys let me know I missed it last weekend but I would be more then interested in coming along.

 

I'm in NE London so am only local I've also found a couple of xlarge beeches in Epping forest too if people wanted to move around.

 

There should be more of these rec climbs

Ok well would it be a) drop in job or b) contact the forest?

 

A could go swimmingly well no problems just some interest from local dog walkers walkers etc or we could have the forest on our back telling us to up sticks and leave!

 

B contact the forest ask and get rejected or allowed! This is dicey but the legitimate way which I would rather especially if there is more then 5 to 10 ropes and climbers turning up in force to climb old growths.

 

I climb in this forest regularly and have been stopped once even explaining to the up his arse ranger that my final T in P has been a cambium saver spike less climbing etc..

 

......buuuuut I am aware of no standing bylaws impairing people from climbing trees either free or roped up but obviously there is on wilful destruction or damage to the forest or habitats contained within.

 

But we all know this as we are respectful arborists so we would need to think of the best way to broach this to the forest or just turn up and pretend we know nothing but show all the courteous jestures we can a couple of black bags for bins no rubbish cambium savers etc

 

I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs it's just a couple times I've met sum arsey rangers! Loool
