About 11 years ago I fractured a guys skull that I caught breaking into my garage. Circumstances are a bit different as it was on my property and there was 2 of them but I go away with it - Rightly in my opinion......

 

Listen to your solicitor, oh an if it happens to everybody else the best line for the police when they show up is:

 

"I believe I acted reasonably in the circumstances and will explain later, under interview, in the presence of my solicitor, if you require me to do so."

 

Gives the solicitor a much easier job to do and better chance of getting you off.

I'm gonna write that quote down and keep it in my van!

thanks lads got a very good solicitor i be ok i think only time will tell he as got a broken eye socket

I can imagine in the same situation the judge would be asking me "Why did you hit the thief 45 times?"

"Your honour, I ran out of energy." I might reply.
